MUZIUM BELIA / YOUTH MUSEUM
THE ISLAMIC GIRL'S MOVEMENT OF MALAYSIA
The Islamic Girl's Movement was first set up on 17th October 1961 within the Islamic Women's Welfare Board, with the special purpose of appealing to the younger generation of Muslims. On 8th May 1980 , the movement was recognized as a uniformed associations by the Ministry of Education and the official launching ceremony was held on 17th June 1981. Seven years after its formation, on 3rd December 1988 it was recognized as a separate association, with constitution of its own. Until the present, the Islamic Girl's Movement has been active in institution of higher learning as well as in primary and secondary school. Due to the whole-hearted support of society in general, non-uniformed membership has been opened to the public at large.
OBJECTIVES
1. The creations of a society with high ethical values practicing morality and civic mindedness.
i. Faith in God and loyalty to the nation and its peoples.
ii. Stiving for knowledge.
iii. High ethics.
iv. Service to society.
2. Promotion of an environment which balances mental and social development, the physical and the spiritual, and order form better human being who are educated and highly develop, able to lead their lives according to the will of God to the serve Islam, as well as nation its people.
3. Shaping the progressive grouping which processes its own identity and is respected by society.
4. Strengthening of feeding of brotherhood and respect toward other human being, particular toward older persons.
5. Formation or reinforcement of links with other organizations possessing similar objectives, within Malaysia, as well as aboard, especially in Islamic National, as well as statutory bodies dealing with matters related to the advancement of our members.
