This award originally known as Kurnia Jaya Award and now known as National Youth Award (Club Category) was introduced by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 1973 as award of appreciation and recognition for services rendered by a youth club to the club itself, to the community and to the nation as a whole. It is awarded annually to the best youth club selected from amongst the competing youth throughout the whole nation. Judging is based on the performance of the club in the field of club administration, community services, economic activities and overall performance.

The winning club receives:
1. A Trophy
2. A Certificate
3. Cash RM20,000.00
