COMMUNITY
In general, there are not many differences in the cultural clothing worn by the Melaka Portuguese community compared with local costumes. The women wear loose kebaya dresses with batik fabric sarong matched with a brooch and the hair is neatly tied in a bun with cucuk sanggul hairpins. Meanwhile men's clothing is long pants or also shorts usually plain white or dark matched with a short-sleeved shirt. Men would also wear patterned clothes like pyjamas.

WEDDING
For wedding ceremonies, women's clothing is loose kebaya dress and white or plain silk sarong coupled with traditional beaded shoes. Meanwhile the groom will usually be wearing a black suit, white shirt, a bow tie and also a round hat tied with a black-coloured ribbon.
For cultural dances, female dancers in the Melaka Portuguese community will wear a special red dress with a white shirt worn on the inside. The male dancers would be dressed like a man's wedding costume.
