The formal wedding ceremony is almost always held inside the church. This ceremony is performed by a priest witnessed by the parents and close relatives of both parties. After the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom are celebrated in the hall. The bride and groom will be greeted and congratulated by guests with flowers and sprinkles of scented water.

Guests will be treated to traditional cuisines such as devil curry and also liquor while dances such as the Branyo are performed. The wedding party and dances may continue until late night. On Sunday, the bride and groom will visit the houses of relatives of both parties to celebrate and thank relatives who had tirelessly helped throughout the wedding celebrations.
