This gallery is located in the Seri Bendahara Building which used to house the official residence of the Chief Minister of Melaka since 1972. This building has been used as the official residence of the Chief Minister of Melaka since the administration of YAB Datuk Setia Haji Abdul Ghani bin Ali (1 August 1972 – 10 July 1978) until 2005. After the construction of the new official residence of the Chief Minister of Melaka at Seri Bendahara, Ayer Keroh, in 2005, this building in Bukit Peringgit has been renovated into a gallery which displays various information about the background, services and contributions of the first Chief Minister of Melaka until the latest. This gallery also becomes the main reference center for the Chief Minister institution which plays an important role in the context of developing the state of Melaka.
