MALAYSIAN TAMIL YOUTH BELL CLUBS CEREMONY
BRIEF HISTORY
1. The desire to have an organisation among the Tamil Youth was felt before the country achieved its independence. To prepare themselves for the independence the Tamil Youth in Penang formed a club called the Bell Tamil Youth Club.
2. This step was followed by the Tamil Youth in Kuala Kangsar, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Bagan Datok, Teluk Intan, Tanjung Rambutan, Sungai Siput, Bukit Mertajam dan Batang Berjuntai.
3. On 31st Oktober 1966 the Malayan Bell Youth Council was formed to coordinate and ensure the proper functioning and development of the abovenamed and future clubs
OBJECTIVES
1. To affiliate all Bell Tamil Youth Clubs registered in the country.
2. To promote unity and moral standards of all members.
3. To promote friendship among members and other youth of other races.
4. To inculcate the spirit of loyalty to the country and to participate in improving human recouce development.
5. To promote civic mindedness and cultural activities among members of affiliates.
6. To inculcate awareness among members on National Youth Policy and youth programmes.
7. To encourage active participation of members in education and sports activities.
8. To organise seminars, forum and training for members.
9. To publish leaflets, journals and books for the benefit of members.
10. To raise fund when necessary to achieve the objectives of the organisation.
11. To affiliate with other organisation with similar objectives.
12. To promote activities in the fields of science and technology.
13. To provide training facilities and develop leadership qualities of members.
14. To draw the attention of the authority on issues pertaining to members.
