MALAYSIAN 4B YOUTH MOVEMENT

BRIEF HISTORY
The Malaysian 4B Youth Movement was officially launched by Hon'ble Dato' Engku Mohsein bin Abdul Kadir, Assistant Minister of Culture, Youth & Sports Malaysia on 3rd August 1966 at Dewan Belia Kampung Pandan, Kuala Lumpur. 150 delegates from all over Malaysia attended this launching ceremony.

Since then, this organisation has progressed very rapidly forming its branches throughout Peninsular Malaysia. Now it has formed 12 state branches and 133 divisional branches with a total membership of 280,000 peoples.

OBJECTIVES
1. To unite and organise the youth for positive and activeparticipation in national building activities and to build a harmonious society.

2. To promote physical and mental education.

3. To encourage members to participate actively in the activities of Movement, Society and Nation.

4. To promote and to organise training and counseling in all fields.

5. To improve the economic status of members in order to create a prosperous society.

6. To sponsor and promote good service base on responsibility and sincerity.

7. To promote the spirit of self-help and decipline among members in order to lead a harmonious life.

8. To safeguard and promote the usage of Bahasa Malaysia and National Culture based on the Malay Culture.

9. To co-operate with the Government and othervoluntary organisations whice have similar objectives.

10. To offer assistance and support to the Government and other suitable agencies.

11. To assist in the improvement of the Islamic Religion, the official religion of the country.
