1. To uphold and consolidate the principles of volunteerism and democracy in the youth movement.
2. To share information regarding skills and activities among youth organizations.
3. To make recommendations and recommendations to the Government, Statutory Bodies and other relevant bodies in all matters relating to the interests of youth.
4. To secure and maintain relations with national and international organizations.
5. To cooperate in all youth development activities and encourage the growth of voluntary youth organizations.
6. Promote international understanding, mutual respect between races, cooperation and harmony through youth activities.
7. Assist in establishing new organizations for the development of youth activities.
8. Promote moral, physical, economic and educational advancement among Malaysian youth.
9. Promote the objectives of other international organizations related to the Malaysian Youth Council.
10. Work closely with agencies responsible for youth activities.
